About Us

Hi! I'm Andrew Lockwood, college history professor. I started Learning With Lockwood in the spring 2018 with a mere four students. It was a business borne out of an overflow of my lifelong passion for learning. 

As a K-12 home school student myself, I saw firsthand how challenging it can be for parents to meet their students' diversified and increasingly specialized educational needs. As a specialist who understands those needs, I knew that I could provide professional academic support within the homeschooling framework.

I also wanted to share my personal passion for history and social sciences with my students. History is exciting, moving, and valuable. My goal is to present it in a way that is instructive, exciting, and moving at the same time. 

In 2020, I expanded Learning With Lockwood from only in-person classes to an online platform that could support home school students across the state of Alaska.  I am grateful for the opportunity to share his passion for history with you and your students.
